Craig W. Spillman, Ph.D., P.C.

Dr. Spillman earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas. He completed a two-year internship at the Adlerian Counseling Center of North Texas. Dr. Spillman received his legal education from Concord University School of Law. He is licensed by the Texas State Board of Health: The Texas Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, and the Texas State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and holds supervisory status with both boards. He is a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Forensic Examiner and a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Counselors. Dr. Spillman works primarily with adults, couples and adolescents. He has a wide selection of publications to his credit on topics ranging from eating disorders to mental illness and the court system. Dr. Spillman has been practicing in his own full time private practice since 1989 and has more than 50,000 hours of counseling and therapy experience. His philosophy of counseling is based on a compassionate, caring style that challenges underlying mistaken beliefs while recognizing the dignity of the person and encouraging fortitude to overcome any difficulties in the persons life.

He has appeared on both Television and Radio shows discussing mental health issues, as well as presenting at national organizations. Dr. Spillman lives with his family in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. He can be reached here.
